Projects / portrait of a forest
It’s based on the feeling that we are detaching ourselves from the nature, and that we are trying to control our surroundings for our convenience. So I started to think of the forest (since I was brought up in the country and this is my childhood playground) and how I could create a controlled vision or illusion of it. I decided to treat it as a portrait photographer’s studio, with artificial light and specific choice of backgrounds. So the object becomes isolated in its overall context.
